365 People, a dynamic agency, is currently seeking an ambitious and experienced individual to join our team as a Haulier Planner. This permanent position is located in Hinckley, working closely with a well-known logistics company, our valued client.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize transport experience/knowledge to efficiently plan and manage loads with hauliers and subcontractors.
- Actively contribute to the growth and success of the business in the capacity of a 4PL (4th Party Logistics) company.
- Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively with hauliers and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination of transportation services.
- Manage an on-call phone 1 in 6 Saturdays, maintaining accessibility and responsiveness.
- Work collaboratively with the team and participate in training sessions on pricing and negotiation techniques.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in transport planning or a related field is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated drive and commitment to contribute to the growth of the business.
- Confidence and excellent communication skills, as the role involves approximately 80% phone-based interactions.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to maximize opportunities and build positive relationships.
- Flexibility to work 40-45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday on-call duties.
