People & HR Coordinator (Part-Time) Location: Leicester Hours: 21 hours per week – Wednesday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (Job Share) Salary: £19,872 (pro-rata) Contract: Permanent, Part-Time

Are you an experienced HR all-rounder looking for a part-time role (3 days a week) where you can still be hands-on, involved and valued?

We’re looking for a People & HR Coordinator to join our friendly team on a job-share basis. You’ll be a key point of contact for employees and managers, providing day-to-day HR support across the full employee lifecycle and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of HR admin, coordination and people support, and wants a stable part-time position with real responsibility.

 

The Role – What You’ll Be Doing

· Preparing and maintaining HR documentation, including contracts, offer letters and employee correspondence.

· Supporting the recruitment process – posting roles, arranging interviews, helping with shortlisting and issuing offer paperwork.

· Carrying out new starter inductions and keeping personnel files and HR systems accurate and up to date.

· Providing HR admin support to the Directors and wider team, including absence management, basic payroll queries and employee relations paperwork.

· Liaising with external HR consultants to ensure all HR activity is compliant with legal and statutory requirements.

· Attending disciplinary and grievance meetings, taking notes and providing administrative support.

· Monitoring and maintaining HR records – sickness, absence, maternity/paternity, pensions and other HR data.

· Assisting with HR reporting and ad-hoc HR projects to support continuous improvement and the wider people agenda.

 

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

· Previous experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Officer or HR Administrator role (or similar people-focused admin role).

· Strong organisation and attention to detail – you’re the kind of person who likes things to be accurate and up to date.

· Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.

· Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using HR or people systems.

· A practical understanding of HR processes across recruitment, onboarding, absence, and general employee lifecycle.

CIPD is not essential – we’re more interested in your hands-on HR experience and your ability to support our people day to day.
