Location: Oldbury
Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00 – 16:00
Contract: Temp to Perm Pay Rate: Starting at £12.21 per hour – depending on experience]
Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Metal Assembly Operative to join one of our clients manufacturing team. The role involves assembling metal components, using hand and power tools, and working to technical drawings while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Assembling metal components and sub-assemblies
· Using hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery
· Reading and following engineering drawings and instructions
· Carrying out quality checks on finished products
· Meeting production targets and deadlines
· Maintaining a clean and safe working area
· Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
· Previous experience in metal assembly or manufacturing (preferred)
· Ability to use hand and power tools confidently
· Good attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Basic understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing environment
Desirable Skills
· Experience working with steel, aluminium, or sheet metal
· Mechanical assembly experience
· Ability to read technical or engineering drawings
