General Manager – Leicester

Permanent full-time Leicestershire Internal 40,000 - 50,000 per annum

365 People are looking to add a General Manager to the team. It is an exciting time for the company as we are adding more branches throughout the UK.

We are looking for someone with previous General management experience within recruitment, ideally within the Transport or Industrial sectors. With an existing knowledge of Leicester and the surrounding areas.

The role

As a General manager you will report directly into the directors. You are responsible for the running of your branch and will be the person that consultants and administrators will report in to. You will need to provide all staff with support, assistance, and coaching. Your main goal will be to improve productivity and achieve peak performance levels.

Duties will include

  • Conduct daily morning meetings to discuss the day’s goals
  • Manage monthly 1-1 meetings to discuss the previous month and forecasting.
  • You will need to manage budgets, allocate branch funds and define financial objectives
  • Looking after the whole team within the branch
  • Offering relevant coaching and support to help your team exceed their targets
  • Understand extensively all in-house systems, databases, job boards and social networks.
  • Teaching colleagues how to effectively screen and interview candidates
  • Teaching how to write Job descriptions and advertise effectively
  • Generating leads from interactions from both candidates and clients.
  • Support with all recruitment activities to drive business growth
  • Hitting and managing daily, weekly, and monthly activity and financial targets
  • Manage multiple plans and cost centres
  • Extensive knowledge of all sectors
  • Manage personal learning and development of colleagues
  • Ensuring all clients are receiving an excellent service.
  • Able to teach how to calculate different rates and charges
  • Work closely with clients and prospects to understand needs for relevant roles
  • Teach colleagues how to hold sales and account meetings with new or prospective clients
  • General admin
  • Ensure that we operate to compliantly and all in line with employment legislations
  • Internal talent acquisition, sourcing and Interviewing candidates
  • Managing the full 360° recruitment lifecycle from first contact until completion.
  • Understand and support all departments including payroll, marketing and HR
  • Resolve problems effectively and timely
  • To effectively manage the existing team of consultants

What we would like from you:

We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience as General manager within recruitment, ideally Transport or Industrial sector. We would like someone with an existing knowledge of Leicester and the surrounding areas.

  • Excellent client management skills, with a good track record of retaining business
  • A background in recruitment, ideally within the Transport and Industrial sectors
  • The ability to attract and recruit candidates in line with our client needs
  • Have proven experience winning new business
  • A positive attitude
  • A natural leader
  • Fantastic communication and organisation skills
  • IT literate
  • Full UK driving licence is essential

  • Salary £40,000 – £50,000 (dependent upon experience)
  • Company car/ car allowance
  • Full time, permanent working position Mon – Thurs 08:00-17:00 Fri 08:00-16:00 (depending on workload)
